Numerous studies have evaluated the role of mHealth interventions in the management of hypertension, while very few have evaluated their role in hyperlipidemia. This review considers recent studies evaluating the effectiveness of mHealth interventions in the management of hypertension and hyperlipidemia. These interventions include the use of text messaging, wireless devices, and mobile phone applications. Management of hypertension, and to some extent hyperlipidemia, has often employed mHealth interventions given lower cost and greater patient engagement compared to traditional methods. Mobile health or mHealth is defined as the use of mobile phone and wireless technologies to support the achievement of health objectives. Hypertension and hyperlipidemia represent two major risk factors for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. The system achieved at the 65% of average success rate, which can give users an idea about current condition of their visions. At the end of trials, the actual diagnosed degrees and the equivalent degree of eyesight ratios according to Snellen Chart's information is compared and the success rates are shown. For the evaluation of systems' reliability, field tests were performed at Bayrampaşa Göz Vakfı Hospital in Istanbul with two ophthalmologist specialists. Thanks to AcuMob, people can get idea about their visual acuity without consulting to an eye medical doctor (MD). This article has aimed at making a prediction about the visual impairment's degree. However, if the user says wrong answer three times consecutively, eyesight ratio is produced by the system to the user referencing to Snellen Chart's information. In the start-up screen, the biggest letter is demonstrated and if the user responds correct answer, the letter's size is being smaller. The letter categories are specified according to letters' sizes. Some preferable letters that are suggested by the ophthalmologists were used in the system. The system is developed with using Xamarin framework and voice commands are used to interact with mobile app. Because AcuMob can be used in everywhere in any time slot, it is offered in the area where the ophthalmologist is not available.

In the crowd society, our proposed app will be implemented faster than the traditional ophthalmologic examination treatments as an alternative.

Our proposed system called AcuMob which is an Android based mobile application aimed to be used by patients who have myopia. This paper presents a mobile healthcare (mHealth) system for estimation of visual impairment that provides easiness by specifying the degree of an eye as orthoscopes. This study will benefit practitioners to design culturally sensitive mobile learning courses and researchers to conduct design-based research. The findings have implications for designing culturally adaptive interactive mobile applications. This study was based on the findings of a small sample of potential users. However, optimization, development time, technical and organizational issues, workload of academics and production costs were identified as major challenges. It was observed that the developed mobile application was accessible, appealing and pedagogically constructive for users. At the end of this development phase, the results were reflected upon and used for further enrichment. These stakeholders were closely involved throughout the whole process which lasted over a period of four months. In the third phase, this application was evaluated by five groups of stakeholders: content experts to validate the content educational technologists to check the alignment of technical and pedagogical features novice users to check the overall effectiveness of the application developer to develop the application, to check the ease of usage and researchers to identify the impact of this innovation. In the second phase, a mobile learning application (OUSL MLearn) was designed and developed to address the research question. In the first phase of the design-based research, the main research question was formulated. For this transformation, one session each from BSc in Nursing, Bachelor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences was selected. This paper reports on the process of transformation of existing printed course material into digitized content through design-based research where design, research and practice were concurrently applied through several iterations of the mobile application. The purpose of this paper is to illustrate the development and testing of an innovative mobile application using design-based research.
